? does “Love” come easy for everyone ?
A Waiting Game Called Love by Sirisha is a contemporary love story that brings out the dilemma of right & wrongs of falling in love and the fear of the concept of happily ever after even though knowing & sharing love with a person for ten years. It’s about Nitya and Ashwin who carry fondness for each other, gradually falling in love to commit themselves for a relationship. Ashwin had fallen for Nitya the day he saw her the first time. But somehow, he fears his family’s reaction if he brings to his parents about his love story. Nitya waits for her Prince charming which she finds in Ashwin but she’s ascertained about how long he would keep her waiting.
Love is a very much a relationship that seeks maturity and understanding. Being a part of someone’s life doesn’t only mean faithfulness, love strives for dedication and waits till the other is ready for the next part of the journey. Love also teaches us to check the better or worse consequences for a clearer vision of life together.
The writing is simple, a bit cinematic and dramatic. The story was breezy and honestly I found nothing unique in it. It had a bunch of side characters whose existence I was often forgetting. Though the attempt was sweet, but somehow I felt it was a story that reader could imagine otherwise.
The book is relatable and might interest the young or the beginners of romance. The readers who want a simple easy book to read, you may check that out.
