A good self help book to recover you from procrastination. |book review of The procrastinator’s mind by Baliveda.

How often do you leave your work for investing your time in leisure activities?

We often slip into laziness or lethargy and hence keep postponing an important work waiting till the last day of submission.
But does it really the disinterest to put an effort for doing the job or is it something called as โ€œProcrastinationโ€ because no matter what, no person would get a task beyond his/her capabilities. Right?

The Procrastinatorโ€™s Mind by Balivada is a guidebook which emphasizes on the procrastinatorโ€™s habit and pursues to understand the layered behaviors of procrastination. This book significantly specifies that how a disciplinary lifestyle of working is important and effective in terms of quality and productivity. It heals the wounds of the gaps formed by procrastination and provides effective solutions. The author did a good job of systematically analyzing the problem. Looking into it in-depth with respect to emotional & psychological aspects of the problem. ย

In immediate times, where people are at the comfort of their homes and adapting to the โ€œwork-from-homeโ€ culture it sometime may happen that you feel like keeping the work aside despite having some major deadlines to meet and give time to unimportant leisure activities. Perhaps, this becomes a subconscious habit to delay the task.
This book is a helpful guide that makes its readers aware of true definition of procrastination relating it with the Thermodynamics laws of science. The author presents before readers quite some valid reason for procrastinating and presents it with relatable and real life examples.
Like I said, this book is vast that understand the effect of procrastination on oneself โ€“in morale, esteem, fear and confidence.ย  Every chapter begins with s quote that gives a notion about what the particular chapter talks about.
I appreciate the author for bringing out the reality of the problem by breaking the ice of myth amongst the people. Here the author dealt with five myth that are actually common and very much talked about.

The author earnestly tries give a wakeup call to his readers with a subconscious energy and acknowledging the importance of regularity. This book asks the readers to become disciple for their own good, perhaps, they would only then overcome their fears and anxiety. Also, a work practiced in discipline and scheduled way yield effective results in terms of creativity, quality and satisfaction. It is a good book filled with knowledge and understanding according to the human behavior. ย  ย
