Nistaar by Nidhi Paralikar is the debut book by the poetess. It consist of 24 poems in hindi and urdu language that deals with the thoughts on life .
All the poems are beautifully presented through authors perspectives.
The poetess pens her heart out enumerating the life as a visionary of her own. The poems are deep and sentimental. Some poems are hard on life dealing with heartbreaks and love.
Every poem has a passionate touch of words that bring out the true meaning of the poems.
The poems are simple and quite expressive in their own ways. The poems have a profound diction and vocabulary. It shows how well read the author is in herself and also portrays the supreme fondness in Hindi and Urdu poems.
It is a short book of 67 pages but the impact leaves you return back to the pages of the book for a re-read. It is a book that would remain special for the readers.
The author uses the nature to bring the precise manner of the poetry conveying. there’s a delicate tone of remembering and forgetting someones existence.
there’s pain and melancholy in the poems which was kind of becoming repetitive for me.
“Aaj shaam jo aasmaan me
Dikh raha hai na tumhe?
Kangan hai mera…
Meri hatheli jaisa iss shaam ka
Gerua rang.. Asar hai tumhara…”-Asar
The cover is quite out-of-the-box and unrelated to the contents which is fine. But there are some poems in urdu which have words that the audience may not be acquainted with, perhaps I expected the word meaning to be given along with the poems or in the beginning of the content rather than in after the contents.
Overall it was a beautiful short read. You could read it to make your weekends more meaningful. An appreciable first attempt by the author.
