An ode to womanhood| Bhumi by Tina Sequeira

A collection of 16 brilliant short stories inspired by women, celebrating their victories and a dedication to womanhood.

Tina’s stories are far- sighted that touches stores based on different spheres of women’s life. Each story stands alone and comes as a positive boon to the readers. These stories do effect you and change your perspectives on upon different ages of womanhood.

There are only few books, that try to speak on female protagonists and highlight them as individual.

The book cover is extremely philosophical that conveys a deep meaning that might be a correlation to both mother other and feminism characters. It solely makes you believe how much dedicated the author is for the mother land. It sync with title of the book.

The stories are soulful and pertain different emotions. A single father’s duty as a father- mother, the affection of the old grandmother or maybe the strength of an acid attack survivor. Sone stories have deep reflection of the beautiful seas and it’s zyphyr of southern India that add a one point extra to the book.

The characters are well specified. The characters portray like ordinary people that have extraordinary stories.

The narration is well justified. It captivates beautifully the different people following different methodologies of life and are far apart from other stories.

The language is not complicated and neither it is too lucid . The author has used right amount of expression ,warmth and emotions to uplift the stories.

For me, I couldn’t find any flaws that be change neither did I feel it was lacking to satisfy my expectations.

I would recommend to all the readers who look for short reads with different approaches.
