Aisling literary means Dreams so are the poems justified by the poetess Sakshi Arora. The poetess writes this book to collide with the topics of our day to day life not talked about anyway. The poem are written with a modern perspective making it related and understanding by all her readers. The book have the kind of poetry that are important for everyone’s knowledge.
Sakshi Arora, utilizes are knowledge of literature and shows a tinge of profoundness here and there in the poetries. She also incorporates some lines from her favourite poetries that have inspired her throughout har journey of learning.
There are 40 poems and all poems are well dwelled upon certain perspectives which I feel to be talked about. There are beautiful poems on freedom, prostitution and first love and so on…
Here are my favourite lines:
“Poets are blessed with the grace of love.
Words lie dissolved in ink,
Ready to be dipped and flow from the pen
And take a love form.
Music that draws the spirit out of your soul
Lyrics that affect your emotions strongly
Beat that beats your heart,
Reaches the deepest spots in your mind.
Paintings that paint the farrago of emotions
Emotions that reflect the life canvas;
Canvas, a mingled canopy of life
Portrays the soul of lovers.” –
Are not poems, music, paintings
and conversation like love ? By Sakshi Arora.
“Even the painting smells like the finest of berries
Its aroma is sweeter than melted butter.
I feel you can feel me.
Come out of this painting, darling!
Heal my scars and bruises.
I lifted my hands to the sky in order to touch her, but all I received
was dust.”– All I received was dust by Sakshi Arora.
Under every poem the author shares her own perspectives in simple language by the section “My Views”.
It is beautiful addition to the book. The poetess feels its importance of simplifying to reader if at all the readers haven’t understood by her poetic free verses. There are insane barrier breaking topics from the author about feminism, responsibilities and struggle and many crucial aspects.
Every poet has a certain tilt towards love genre. But here Sakshi Arora shows up with another level of love and I bet , you would never feel like the same old story. I appreciate Sakshi for having a fresh approach towards love and loss.
Aisling rises through all the bitter truths to sweet love and mourning sorrows holding the perfect balance of life.
